VNCiom
VNCiom is the federation layer of the chat: it lets people in two different organizations message each other securely, while each organization keeps full control of its own users, data and policy.
Federation changes the trust model. In a normal chat deployment, all participants belong to the same organization and the same directory. With VNCiom, two organizations — each with its own directory, its own server and its own rules — agree to exchange messages. Nobody has to create an account in somebody else’s system, and no organization hands over its user list.
What it delivers
Section titled “What it delivers”- Cross-organization messaging without a shared tenant. Two independent deployments can talk to each other; identities stay in their own home.
- Policy stays local. Each organization decides who may federate and with whom; the other side’s directory is not imported.
- Sovereign data boundaries. Messages are delivered between the two organizations, not mediated by a public messaging provider.
- A basis for supply chains and partnerships. A supplier, a partner or a public body can be reached over chat without inviting them into the internal workspace.
