Your data across the suite
VNCcontacts is the address book for the suite, and it also contributes to the platform’s shared knowledge base so the same people and companies can be found and connected across VNClagoon — not only inside the address book.
What is shared
Section titled “What is shared”When you save a person or a company, VNCcontacts publishes it, with the relationships it can see, to the platform knowledge graph. That is what lets another product surface “who works with whom” and lets a search see beyond its own records.
Where the analysis runs
Section titled “Where the analysis runs”The relationships are derived on the platform’s own model gateway — inside the suite, on the estate’s infrastructure. Your contact content is not sent to an outside service to be processed. Publishing is best-effort: if the knowledge service is unavailable, your save still succeeds; it is not delayed and it is not failed.
What it means for you
Section titled “What it means for you”- A record you keep current is more useful to the suite, because it is the version the graph learns from.
- The assistant answers from your address book directly (with record chips) when you use the Server provider; the graph is what powers cross-product discovery and search. See Ask the assistant.
- Access rules still apply: sharing is governed by the card’s visibility and data class wherever the record is used (see Share a contact card).
