Calendars in VNCmail
The calendar of VNCmail is where an organization puts its time: appointments, shared team calendars, invitations and RSVPs, mutual availability, recurring meetings, rooms and resources, and the tasks that have a deadline.
It is part of the groupware bundle. A user reaches it from the VNCmail app, from the portal or as its own view, and works on the same calendars in all three. It speaks open standards — iCalendar for events, iMIP for invitations, CalDAV for sync — so calendars can be shared with other systems and a later migration does not require starting over.
What it delivers
Section titled “What it delivers”- One calendar for the organization, not one per tool. Personal, team and resource calendars sit side by side, coloured per viewer.
- Scheduling that respects other people’s time. Mutual free/busy and invitations with RSVP make a meeting a decision among participants, not a broadcast.
- Rooms and resources. A meeting room, a vehicle or a piece of equipment is booked with the same mechanics as a person’s time.
- Recurring work done correctly. A series can be edited for one occurrence, this and following, or all — the distinction that most calendars get wrong.
- Open standards. iCalendar import and export, CalDAV sync, iCal and webcal subscriptions.
- Tasks beside the calendar. Due dates, priority and completion in the same view.
