Your account menu
The account control sits in the top bar of VNCboard (the avatar near the theme toggle and the Help button). It is the one place for your account — you do not leave the board to change a setting.
Open it
Section titled “Open it”Select the avatar in the top bar. The menu opens with your name (or your sign-in name when no display name is set) at the top.
What is in it
Section titled “What is in it”| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Status | Set your availability — Available, Busy, Do not disturb, Out of office, Away or Offline — with an optional reset-after time and a short message. |
| Notifications | Your notification feed (a count badge shows the unread total). Opens the Notification Center — see The Notification Center. |
| Language | Switch the interface language (English, Deutsch, Français, Italiano, Español). Applied across the suite the next time each app loads. |
| Appearance | Switch between light and dark. |
| Security & sign-in | See your active sessions, revoke any of them, change your password, and sign out everywhere. |
| Product shortcuts | Open the other suite apps you are entitled to (for example VNCchat, VNCmail, VNCfiles, VNCtask, VNCproject, the calendar (in VNCmail), VNCcontacts) — each opens in a new tab, pre-filled when the context allows. |
| Sign out | End your session in VNCboard (see also Sign out everywhere). |
Change your password
Section titled “Change your password”Change password in the account menu is handled inside the suite — you are never sent to a separate sign-in screen to do it. Enter your current password and the new one, and confirm.
Sessions and signing out
Section titled “Sessions and signing out”- Active sessions lists the places you are signed in. Revoke ends one session without affecting the others.
- Sign out everywhere ends the shared suite session, so every product signs out — not just VNCboard. See Signing in and single sign-out.
What VNCboard shows on the avatar
Section titled “What VNCboard shows on the avatar”VNCboard does not run a presence service, so it does not draw live presence dots next to people. You can still set your own status here; presence dots appear in the products that provide that service.
