Usage & Billing

The Usage & Billing page answers two questions for a tenant: what have we used this period? and what will we pay? Pricing is owned by VNCdirectory — the organization system of record — and the page reads it back.

Open Usage & Billing from the launcher.

Every bill is the sum of one flat charge and any metered overage:

  • Flat seat price. The suite is priced per seat, per month, in CHF for the whole suite. Your seats are the tenant’s active people.
  • Metered functions. Each product activity (for example AI actions, video minutes, storage, mail sent, channel posts, tasks created) is metered against a fair-use pool included with each seat. Usage inside the pool is covered by the flat seat price — you pay only for the overage beyond it, at the published per-function rate.

Charges fall into two groups: what your people did in the products, and the compute credits that served them. Both are shown on the same page.

For each product the tenant is entitled to, the page shows the open period with:

Column Meaning
Seats The billed seats for the period (the period’s peak).
Allowance The fair-use pool — the included quantity for those seats.
Usage What was actually used this period.
Overage Usage beyond the allowance, if any.
Charge The projected amount for the period.

A product with no billable activity shows its flat seat charge and a usage of zero.

A threshold banner appears on the page and in notifications as a tenant approaches an allowance: a warning from about 80% of a function’s pool, and an over-consumed state once usage passes it. This gives a tenant time to adjust before the overage is billed.

Each closed period becomes an immutable statement with its lines — the seat charge and each metered function. Open a statement to read it, or use CSV export to download the lines for your finance process. Statements are fixed once the period closes, so a past bill never changes.

The Billing & Metering chapter in Org Setup sets the tenant’s plan and billing defaults. The rates themselves are the platform’s published price list.
