VNCchannels
VNCchannels is the place where an organization writes down what it knows. It combines two things that are usually split across tools: the team room, where a group discusses in real time, and the knowledge hub, where the outcome is kept as a structured, findable record.
The unit of content is the topic: an article, a decision, an announcement or a status update, published into a channel and discussed in place. Topics carry comments, files, tags and links to related items, so a decision does not get lost in a chat log.
What it delivers
Section titled “What it delivers”- Discussion and record in one place. A team talks in the channel and the result becomes a topic that stays findable — no separate wiki to maintain.
- Structure that survives growth. Channels, subchannels, topics and tags give a large organization a navigable shape instead of an endless feed.
- Knowledge that can be searched and questioned. Full-text search and a knowledge graph show what links to what; the assistant answers from a channel’s own content and cites its sources.
- Sovereign operation. Content, search index and AI grounding run in your perimeter.

Typical use
Section titled “Typical use”- Decisions. A team discusses an option in a channel and publishes the outcome as a decision topic with the rationale, so it is citable later.
- Announcements. An announcement channel carries read-only messages that reach a whole department.
- Project knowledge. A project channel holds specifications, meeting notes and links; the assistant answers “what did we decide about X” from that channel.
- Onboarding. A newcomer reads a channel’s topics in order instead of asking a colleague to repeat the history.
How it fits the suite
Section titled “How it fits the suite”- VNCchat is for the conversation; VNCchannels is for the record. When a chat produces something worth keeping, it becomes a topic.
- VNCcontacts and VNCdirectory supply people, teams and access.
- VNCai provides the assistant and the grounding behind it.
- VNCfiles holds attachments as managed files.
- VNCfluid shows a channel’s topics as a portlet.
| Role | What they do |

| Author | Publish topics, attach files, start polls, use templates. |
| Channel owner | Create and structure channels, manage members and expiry. |
