How is this different from VNCchat? Channels are the record; chat is the conversation. See VNCchannels vs VNCchat.
How do I update the desktop app? The desktop client checks the download server when it starts, every hour while it runs, and again when you bring the window to the front or wake the computer. When a new version exists you get a prompt with Download & install, Later and Open download page; after the download it offers Restart now, or applies it when you next quit. The Software updates button in the top bar (desktop build only) shows the live state and lets you Check for updates or Install and restart by hand. Your channels and drafts are kept across an update. How do I move or delete many topics at once? Use Select to bulk move, archive or delete. See Manage topics in bulk.
Can I turn an email into a topic? Yes. See Turn an email into a topic.
